Tommy Landseadel- Mr. L- I am currently in my 13th year of teaching at Stone-Robinson and I have enjoyed every second! I graduated from UVA with a Master of Teaching in 2007. At home, I have a wife and two amazing children, ages 10 and 7. I like to stay physically active by playing basketball, running and I have recently picked up mountain biking as my daughter has become increasingly interested in the sport.
My personal teaching philosophy centers around exposing children to many different types of physical activity during their elementary years. Personal fitness, general knowledge of human anatomy, and nutrition are also huge parts of our mission. Ideally, every student will leave SRE armed with the skills and knowledge to take the next step in their journey toward a physically active, healthy lifestyle.
Luke Noble- Hey! I’m the new P.E. Teacher at Stone Robinson. This is my 6th year teaching elementary P.E., and before Stone Robinson I taught at Woodbrook and Hollymead. I received my bachelors and masters in P.E. From UVA in 2014 and went to grade school locally here in Albemarle County, attending Greer, Jack Jouett, and Albemarle High.
To tell you a little about myself, I absolutely love physical activity and I can’t sit still for too long! As an athlete, I was a runner and a swimmer in high school, but grew up playing soccer, football, basketball, and tennis too. I also ran collegiately at UVA on the cross country and indoor and outdoor track and field teams. I love to watch and follow both UVA and professional sports. I don’t miss UVA home games. Go Hoos! To stay active now, I am an assistant coach for the Albemarle boys cross country team and head coach for the Glenmore swim team, but I also enjoy lifting, playing basketball, hiking, camping, and swimming whenever I can. I’m excited to be here and working with an awesome group of staff, students, and parents!
